Week 39

Thursday, December 22nd, 2005

Debbie Moles called and I told her that I was not going to contact the neighbors about the wall, due to I can not make promises on Paddocks behalf. She said that was fine and would get in touch with Scott.

Merry Christmas

Wednesday, December 21st, 2005

Debbie Moles called to check status. I expressed to her how I thought the pool was coming along. I am extremely disappointed in the progress of the pool. We are no closer to finishing this project than we were 2 weeks ago. She would have Scott call me. A wall sub-contractor stopped by to take measurements for 2 sections of wall and 3 pillions. I told the sub that just 2 sections of raised wall in the middle of the fence run would look stupid, and he agreed. Scott Dilliam called and said that the city inspector had some issues. He had already made repairs to the heater and was working on the back wall. He stated that he had talked with the sub and that he would take the wall up 2 rows from the existing wall all the way down to the area past where the inspector had indicated. The wall would be taken care of by Paddock at no additional cost to me. He said that I should talk with the neighbor and see if it was ok with them to raise the wall.
Chris from Poco Verde stopped by to look at the wok pot fountain pipes. He said that he did not think they could be straightened due to the pipes entering the pots at the wrong area. He dropped off a one year warranty on work they performed.
Complaint filed with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.
Complaint # M06-1230 and M06-1231

Monday, December 19th, 2005

Debbie Moles called to check status. I told her about the pipes in the wok pot not being centered. She said that they should be adjustable so we could center them.

Friday, December 16th, 2005

Wok pots were filled with river rocks.

Week 38

Thursday, December 15th, 2005

Wok pots set and plumbed with water and lights. The pipes are not centered in the pots. It looks as if there was a problem with one of the pipes in the cleaning system as there is a hole in the pool shell around one of the pipes. Waterfall tile is grouted.

Permadeck continued working on re-coloring the deck above the waterline tile and below the wok pot bases. Debbie Moles called to check status. Chris with Poco Verde stopped by. He said they sealed the planter, and were getting ready to set the wok pots. We talked about leaving the water-fill for the pots straight up for the bubblers in the pots. He said they would just put rock in the bottom to hide the epoxy seal.

Monday, December 12th, 2005

Permadeck started on re-coloring the deck above the waterline tile and below the wok pot bases. Electricians wired pool equipment. Planter was painted and filled with dirt.

Wrong Pots

Friday, December 9th, 2005

I told Poco Verde about the waterline tile, and they said they would cut it out of their way when they place the saltio tile across the top. I met with the permadeck repair that was out to recolor the area replaced by grout. He agreed that the grout would not last long. He had to talk with his department before proceeding. Bob Owens from Poco Verde called and said the wok pots were wrong and it would be the end of the month before new ones could be made. He was going to check and see if an alternative color pot could be found. Debbie Moles called and I told her about the grout used for the deck, no water proofing in planter, wok pots and wok pot tier seam. She talked with Scott Dilliam and he assured her that it was not grout but was just covered in some grout and it was hard as rock. She also said that Poco Verde was able to find the right wok pots and would be installing them today. The seam would be ground down early next week and then filled with permadeck.

Week 37

Thursday, December 8th, 2005

Debbie Moles called to check status. They started on the tile for the waterfall face. Wrought iron fence panels were placed and welded in. Tile on the waterfall was placed all the way to the top of the waterfall on both sides of the sheer, leaving no room for the saltio tile across the top.

Random Tile

Wednesday, December 7th, 2005

They started on cutting in the random tile along the waterline. Wrought iron fence posts were concreted in. Saltio tile across the waterfall planter started.

Sheer Raised

Monday, December 5th, 2005

Debbie Moles called to check status but I had not been home yet to see if anyone had been working. Water sheer raised and capped by sheer installers. The tile gap between the wok pot bases and the waterline tile was filled in with approximately 1” of tile grout. It was then shaped to look like the permadeck.

Week 36

Thursday, December 1st, 2005

Poco Verde worked on the waterfall, removing the top row of bricks above the water sheer.
