My Paddock Pool Sucks

Had my water tested today. Since all the rain and storms lately I figured it was a good time to have the water tested. My little tester showed I just needed a little acid this weekend.
I took water samples to both Paddock and Shasta for testing.

Paddock:
CYA = 93
Total Chlorine = 8.7
Free Chlorine = 7.2
pH = 7.3
Adj. TA = 37
Hardness = 294

They recommended I add 42 lbs. of Alkali Up to raise the alkalinity,
Add 2 lbs. of acid,
Add 3 qt. of Stain and Scale control,
Add 8 lbs. of Pad Chem to boost the free chlorine,
I found this to be surprising since the levels have always been close. So I took a sample to Shasta.

Shasta:
Add 1 pt. of acid to lower the pH,
pH = 7.8
That is all..
Everything else was in the good range.

The difference between the tests were how they were measured. Paddock uses test strips where Shasta used the old fashion way of drops and water samples.

Ken with Westly Air-conditioning came out and repaired the heat-pump. He said a micro switch was malfunctioning.

I called Paddock once again. I talked with Yadira and told her that the cooling system was not working. She said that she would contact the people that can look at it.

Called and left a message for Debbie Moles about the heater not cooling.
Seal between deck and waterline tile cracked again. there is a large gap between the top of the tile and the ledge in the deep end of the pool.
