No Heat

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006

I shut down the heater. No luck in trying to heat the pool. Now I will just try and save whats left of the electric bill.

No Heat

Sunday, December 24th, 2006

Well it is time to swim. Christmas vacation for the kids has started. Today the pool was a balmy 59F. Considering it is over 67F outside and the pool temp keeps going down, the pool heater gets a failing grade. The pool was warmer before they fixed it.

Friday, December 22nd, 2006

I wonder if the heater is even working. The temp for today is down to 63F.

Wednesday, December 20th, 2006

It seems I am fighting a loosing battle. Today the pool water temperature is about 66F. Down from 68F yesterday. Highest temp was 70F on Monday.
The heater froze up tonight at around 8:30PM with the outside temp around 48F. I had to shut it down until tomorrow.

Heatpump Froze

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

The heatpump froze over last night and I had to de-ice it this morning.
Kelly Sharp was out and replaced the rusted diving board base. He also replaced 2 of the PCC heads in the deep end. One of the heads he replaced came out of the box pre broken. He said he would be back to replace it. We checked over the pool looking at the current problems. He said he would go back and explain what my concerns were.

Heater repair

Friday, December 15th, 2006

Gillespie came out and changed the low pressure cutout saftey. He replaced the 90# unit with a 50# one.

This weeks problems

Friday, December 15th, 2006

DSC00032Charlette returned my call. She said that Gillespie will be out today to fix the heater if they can.
I told her about the other problems I am having with the pool.
1) The main filter pump looses prime every now and then.
2) Air constantly blowing out the returns.
3) PCC cleaning system blowing air and very noisy.
DSC000364) PCC head in deep end broken.
5) Diving board base has rusted.
6) Main drain still plugged.
7) Plaster still stained and footprint on first step.
8) Caulk line above waterline tile, gap.
I forgot to tell her about the pool gate not closing.

She told me that Kelly Sharp will be out on Tuesday 12-19-2006 to fix the PCC head and look at the diving board and filter pump. He will also look at the plaster to see what can be done.
I told her that I had received a quote to repair the stucco on the waterfall. I had spoken with Edward Ghiz and Debbie Moles and we had agreed that since Poco Verde was no longer allowed on property, I could have it repaired from another source. She asked that I fax them a copy of the quote.
She said that the waterline caulk was usually a one time courtesy repair and that had already been done but she would see if they could do it again.

I went down to Paddock Pools in Scottsdale AZ. to personally chat with them about the problems. They said that they would resolve all of them.

Another week wasted

Friday, December 15th, 2006

I called Paddock Pool about the heater again. Charlette(?) said she will try and find someone to come out. I told her the only reason for the heater was for Christmas vacation and that since it doesn’t work they need to come out and remove it and refund my money. She said that they will call me back.

What Now

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006

The pool cleaning system is set to start at 10 pm every night. Tonight I can hear it blowing air as it changes from station to station. The pool filter is also loosing prime every now and then. I am still waiting to hear from Debbie Moles on when they are going to fix the PCC cleaning system.

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006

I called Paddock Pools and talked with Rebbecca. I told her the heater had stopped working again. She said that she would pass on the info and see if they could be out to fix it again.

Call Gillespie

Monday, December 11th, 2006

I called Gillespie A/C & Heating and left a message.

No Heat

Sunday, December 10th, 2006

Heater shut down again today. It is showing an error code of E01, low pressure.

Heatpump Repair

Saturday, December 9th, 2006

Gillespie A/C and Heating came out today and repaired the heat-pump. They added more refrigerant and replaced a pressure switch.

Thursday, December 7th, 2006

I called and left another message for Debbie Moles.
I called back and talked with Charlet? about the heater not working again. She said that someone from Pentair will call me back and set up a time when they can fix it. I told her that I was hoping to have the pool heated for Christmas. She said she will try and call them today.
I can see this is going to be another holiday ruined by Paddock Pools.

No Heat

Wednesday, December 6th, 2006

I tried to turn the heater on today so that the pool would be warm enough to swim in by Christmas. The heater failed again. Error is for low refrigerant level.
I called and left another message for Debbie Moles at Paddock.
