My Paddock Pool Sucks

Prado and Sons came out and started chipping away at the plaster. They are removing the plaster from around all the fixtures and along the top edge. They will then apply a adhesive layer and then a finish coat.
I called Debbie Moles and was wondering why they were going to refinish the pool before repairing the waterfall and fiber optics.
She called me back and said that she called Prado and had them wait to finish till all the other work has been completed.
The fiber optics should be installed on Thursday or Friday. Allen tile will be out Friday at 8 am to look over replacing the stucco with tile.

I received an e-mail from Pool & Spa News asking for an interview about this blog today. I am going to set up a phone interview later this week.

Debbie Moles called to let me know that the tile people will now be out on Friday to look over the job. They will then tell her if they are going to tile the waterfall or have me do it.

I called Debbie Moles and left a message for her to call me.

She called back and left a message stating that they are waiting on the tile guys to give them an estimate on Tuesday about tiling the stuccoed part of the waterfall. If the quote is lower than the one I supplied they will start on the waterfall before resurfacing the pool, if not than I will need to have the tile work done. Nick with the fiber optics will then repair the lighting. Once the waterfall has been completed they will do a multi coat on the interior of the pool.

Kelly Sharp was out today and acid washed the pool again.
Debbie Moles called to let me know that there were still some stains they are trying to remove. She is going to contact Prado and see what they can do. Kelly took pictures and they are going to meet with Nancy Graham tomorrow. She will let me know what they decide.

Debbie Moles called and said that Prado and Sons along with Kelly Sharp would be out this morning to finish up on the footprint.

She called back a short time later and said they were done and were able to remove the print by more heat and sanding. They wanted to start refilling the pool. I told her that would be fine and I would look at it as soon as I returned home. Kelly would retun on Wednesday to see how it was going.
I looked at the step and the footprint is gone for now. They did not start the water into the pool yet. I did notice another stain under the waterfall where the cleaning system jet must have leaked some acid onto the plaster. I give up. They fix one thing just to make another.

Debbie Moles with Paddock called today to check if the footprint was still there. I told her I could still see it. She said she would talk with Gabe and let me know what the next course of action is.

Prado and Sons came out later and power sanded the plaster. They then used a propane torch to try and pull out all moisture from the step.
After they left I called Debbie Moles and left a message. The footprint was still there, not as noticeable, but still there.

Kelly Sharp with Paddock Pools stopped by to look over the pool. He will let Debbie Moles know what he thinks and have her get back to me.

She returned the call and left a message stating that they were not done yet. Prado and Sons will be out Friday to ‘torch’ remove the water from the step. Kelly Sharp will also be out to see the results. She will call me on Friday or Monday to let me know what they found.

Prado and Sons came out and acid washed the pool today. They said they would be back on Friday to buff the rest.
Kelly Sharp from Paddock came out to look over how it had gone.
The footprint is still there and as noticeable as it was before they washed it. Some of the other major stains had been removed but streaks can still be seen throughout the pool surface.

Debbie Moles called and asked if the pool was drained yet. It is empty.

Larry with Paddock came by and replaced the pump used for draining the pool.

I arrived home around 1 pm to find their pump had blown the gfi outlet. I reset the breaker, but it failed again. I called Debbie Moles and left her a message about the pump.

A pool tech from Paddock showed up at 8 am and set up a submersible pump to start draining the pool.

Debbie Moles called today and said they would be out on Monday to drain the pool. Prado and Sons will try and remove the footprint from the step on Wednesday. Kelly Sharp will look it over and see if it is acceptable. If so they will restart the pool, if not then they will replaster the pool.
