Call for Salt

I called and left a message for Debbie Moles. Telling her that the pump was now working and I am just waiting for the salt to be added so we can get the salt system back up and running. Also that the ozone line had been pulled out when they replaced the pump. I put the line back into the generator but not sure if anything else was disconnected.

New Filter Cartridges

Paddock stopped by and replaced the cartridges in the filter with new ones.

Tiles not Repaired

Prado and Sons came out to replace the bad tiles, but were unable to due to the water in the pool. They said they would be back tomorrow to drain down the level of the pool so they could cut out the tiles.
Kelly with Paddock stopped by and checked the chemical levels and brush down the pool.

Water

Friday, April 6th, 2007

The pool has filled with water.
Paddock came out and added chemicals, adjusted the cleaning system, and checked out the progress. I was told to keep it brushed and the pH at 7.6. They will be back next week to check the status. In about 60 days the salt will be added after the pool has stabilized. I also need to keep an eye on the filter, as it may need to be cleaned as all the plaster dust is circulated through it.

Fiber Optics

DSC00076Fiber Creations of Arizona came out today and glued the fiber optics back into the waterfall, again. This time he said they would also silicone around it to keep it from falling out, again. He knew nothing about having to replace it as was discussed in previous meetings.

Fail

The service tech. came out and tried to blow the debris out of the main drain. He ran out of compressed air. Drain still blocked. He did not have the pump needed to repair the wok pot pump. He said he will return on Saturday to try again.

Pool Completed

I met with Edward Ghiz, Debbie Moles, Bob and Chris from Poco Verde here. I tried to explain how the waterfall was supposed to look like. The one in their showroom has the waterfall set into a cantilever edge, hiding the sheer and lights from view. We looked over the pool and I explained the problems left to repair. Most all of the items had already been taken care of this week. All that is left is getting the fiber optics onto the remote, separating the color wheels for all the lights on the remote, fix the fiber optics falling out of the waterfall, and removing the white spacers on the wok pots. There is air getting into the filter system, causing it to loose prime, and he said they would fix that. One of the Jandy valves is malfunctioning also.
I showed him where the stucco on the face of the planter looked patched to me. Poco Verde offered to fix it but I refused, as they do not have a good track record with me on their repairs. Mr. Ghiz offered to have another contractor repair it and bill them the cost of the repair.
Mr. Ghiz said that the pool was complete and the rest is warranty work that they should have completed within a week.
